Goodbye Flip
Cisco Systems recently announced that it will no longer be selling its Flip Video Cameras. Cisco acquired the point and shoot video camera company in 2009 and has recently decided to abandon the video venture to focus strictly on networking.
Bargains2Buy.co.uk Updated
A short time ago I reported the opening of http://www. Bargains2Buy.co.uk A site for Big Boys Toys sometimes referred to as Gadgets.
The site is primarily for those interested in the many Radio Controlled Models available today. The range includes RC Buggy, RC Planes, RC Monster Trucks, RC Helicopters, RC Tanks and many other types of radio controlled models. Initially the site only had thirty items listed, several from each category of model. The site has now been extended to include over one hundred and fifty radio controlled models of different types.
It is our intention to try to provide the radio controlled model enthusiast a one stop shop where they can source everything they need in one place. Although limited to the actual radio controlled models at this particular moment in time it will eventually cater for the spare parts needed by the enthusiast from time to time.
In the interim period should anyone have need of a particular item we do not currently list please feel free to contact us with your request we will do our best to source it for you.
We look forward to your visit to our site and to having you as a customer, we hope we will be able to supply you with just the thing you are looking for.
As the site is new it is not yet well known nor fully established in the market, if you visit the site and like it please recommend us to your friends. Word of mouth is by far the best recommendation we could ask for.
Thank you for taking the time to read this article I hope you found it to be of some interest.

Allow Me To Introduce Bargains2Buy.co.uk
Gadgets you either love them or hate them but whichever it is you cannot ignore them. Gadgets in various forms have been around a long time now and will no doubt be around for a long time to come. Most men seem to like gadgets whilst women not all women it must be said have a tendency to dislike them.
Why do so many men like gadgets ? I believe it is because most men like to tinker with things and most gadgets provide an opportunity of some kind to do just that. If like me you like to know how things work you will no doubt at some time have stripped down some product with a view to finding out just that. Taking it apart is not a problem putting it back together is when the trouble starts. As you sit back looking at the completely re assembled product while you still have a small but vital part left over in your hand. Where on earth did that bit go? Finding out how things work can sometimes prove to be an expensive pastime.
Gadgets especially the ones I am specifically thinking about at this time Radio Controlled Scale Models of all descriptions, Tanks,Planes,Monster Trucks,Helicopters,Buggy's and Cars provide an opportunity to tinker to ones hearts content without causing too much damage. Many of the models can be purchased in Kit Form for self assembly, normally a great deal cheaper then the ready made article and far more satisfying when you finally complete the assembly and have it in action.
These Nitro and Petrol powered model vehicles are a grown ups version of the cars we used to play with as a child, they are in effect no longer toys, they are now the real thing on a smaller scale. For those of us who do love to tinker with things these models can prove to be irresistible, not only do they allow us to keep on playing with toys albeit a grown up version they also provide the opportunity to legitimately tinker with things. Not just filling the tank with Nitro or Petrol but also fine tuning to get the optimum performance from whichever model you have chosen to use. Yes its an opportunity to be your own mechanic without any of the heavy lifting or dirty jobs that normally go with that job. There is another practical benefit to this as well, as most of the models are accurate scale models many of the features you get to play about with are like the larger version on our everyday cars, By playing about with your model car you will be learning more about our everyday cars at the same time. Of course model Cars, Buggy's and Monster Trucks may not be to your liking.
Perhaps you wanted to be a fighter pilot. If that is the case there are radio controlled model planes to cater for your personal taste too. There are various types of plane available from the Tiger Moth to the Nighthawk Stealth Jet Plane, if you prefer some of the planes from earlier days those are available too. Planes such as the Focke-Wulf and Messerschmitt, if you want to combine flight and water there is the Catalina. The vast majority of these planes have 4 channel remote control which allows the operator to have the model perform many varied manoeuvres.
If not a fighter pilot what about a Helicopter Pilot, once again there are various models to allow you to show your prowess as a pilot. The radio controlled planes and helicopters are these days powered by small lightweight but powerful batteries.
Last but not least what about a radio controlled tank. These 1/16th and 1/30th Scale models are the ideal off road model toy if speed is not the ultimate goal. They might not be the fastest but they are still not slow either. Its amazing what kind of terrain these toys can traverse. Whatever your choice in these particular radio controlled toys if you love gadgets they will provide many hours of fun.
If you would like to see more detail regarding the various models mentioned then please pay us a visit http://Bargains2Buy.co.uk If you visit and like what you see please recommend us to your friends. The site is rather limited at this time as it is in a testing period, should it prove to be popular it will be extended. Your opinion as to its current content etc. would be much appreciated.
Thank you for your time.

Sound The Digital Photo Frame (Alarm Clock)
Do you remember the days when an alarm clock just used to ring to rouse you from your slumbers. A strident noise fit to wake even the heaviest of sleepers and enough to give the faint of heart palpitations. You could be fast asleep in the arms of Morpheus one second and sitting bolt upright in bed wide awake the next groping for the alarm clock. The good thing about it was, you had to shut it off as soon as possible, If you, however, are one of those who could reach out whist still half asleep and unerringly find the off button a different tactic had to be employed.Yes thats right put the alarm clock out of arms reach so that you had to get out of bed to turn it off. Then even if it had a snooze facility it was not worth using it once you were up out of bed. Who wanted to go through the same performance twice? Not me.
How things have changed. We now have any number of choices when it comes to being woken. Perhaps one of the nicest ways to be woken on a morning is to the sound of music of your preferred choice. This together with a picture of your loved ones should help to get the day off to a good start. There are now available many different devices offering alarm capabilities. Amongst them are digital photo frames with multi media playback.
One such is the Coby DP5088 Deluxe 5" Digital Photo Frame & Clock with Multimedia Playback.
Just take a look at what this has to offer. A 5" TFT LCD Colour display. Housed in a handsome wooden frame it has an analog clock, it displays JPEG photo files, can play MP3 and WMA music files. In addition it Plays MPEG4-H 264 and Motion JPEG Video Files. It has a photo slideshow mode with music. It has a Calendar and the clock has an Alarm Timer. It has integrated, SD,MMC,MS,xD and CF card slots together with a full size USB port for use with flash memory drives. If that wasn't enough it also has integrated stereo speakers and includes Vividshare PC Software for creating multimedia slideshows. Oh yes a full function remote control as well. No bad for an alarm clock.
Of course it still doesn't make getting out of bed any easier especially on a cold winters day.

Driving the family on the worlds largest Car Park You Need a Portable DVD Player
Have you ever driven around the M25 in England the orbital motorway around the outskirts of London. Some 117 miles or 188 kilometre in length. If so you will probably know why it is sometimes referred to as the worlds largest car park. For the best part of the day it is a six lane motorway with traffic flowing reasonably well, then comes the rush hour, a misnomer if ever there was one. Traffic grinds to a halt and you can spend long periods of time doing precisely Zero miles per hour. After sitting for long periods of time inhaling the exhaust fumes from numerous vehicles in a similar situation to yourself and after exhausting the ways available to keep ones self amused boredom sets in together with frustration. Imagine what this would be like with the children cooped up in the back of the car, if it is boring and frustrating for you it is a catastrophe for them. They are normally asking, "Are we nearly there yet within minutes of setting off on a journey of any length." How do they relieve the boredom ? They argue and fall out with each other. Is there a solution to this problem?
Unfortunately not to the entire problem, but for the problem the children have yes there is. What you need is one of these.
A Portable DVD Player.
Keep the children entertained and they will cease to be an additional problem. The arguing ceases and the constant complaining stops. You no longer have to be the mediator and referee in the constant disputes between the occupants of the back seat. Provide them with something to occupy their minds and peace reigns. The additional bonus to a Portable DVD Player is this, you can determine what you provide for them to watch. You know that what they are watching is something you do not have a problem with, no nasty surprises as to content and therefore no awkward questions to be answered.
Portable DVD Players come in a variety of different styles and makes and mountings including, roof mounted, head rest mounted and sun visor mounted among others. There is also a choice as to screen sizes.
Of course this will not relieve your boredom as you will be unable to watch with the children. You will however be able to be bored and frustrated in peace.
If you would like to see a variety of Portable DVD Players available to you please visit us on line. Thank you for reading this I hope you found it to be of interest.

Credit Card or Mobile Phone?
WATCH OUT! A similar technology to RFID - the technology that allows you to pay for products by simply waving your credit card in front of a sensor, will soon be coming to a mobile phone near you. Google, Apple and Amazon are exploring with a new technology called NFC, or Near Field Communication, which will contain your credit card information allowing you to pay for products using only your mobile phone. Apple has announced that they are definitely bringing this with the release of the iPhone 5.
But will this mobile phone technology take off? Discovery Channel's original show Mythbusters had their recent episode debunking the security of RFID credit cards pulled by the credit card companies themselves. Which begs to question, is this technology secure? Forrester believes that this technology will completely change the way we pay for things, but the adoption process will take some time.
What are your thoughts? Will you experiment with this new technology? Or are you going to stick with lugging around all those pieces of plastic?

Do You Pre Plan Your Own Route or do You Trust Your GPS ?
If you are a Map Reader you will know that it is an acquired skill. To be able to read a map well and plan a detailed route takes time and practice. Some love it whilst others dislike it intensely. Like it or not once you have mastered the art of Map reading it can be quite rewarding and satisfying to plan your required route to your chosen. destination. There are however drawbacks to route planning by this method. As we are all too well aware the route we have planned to take is not always available to be taken, and most maps do not have the details of Town or City one way systems shown. Also diversions due to roadworks, traffic accidents etc, which cause unforeseen and unexpected delays do not help. Of course if you have a passenger with you who happens to be an Ace map reader you won't have any problems. If however you are driving solo when the unexpected detour or blockage occurs you can have problems. First of all you need to find somewhere to stop in safety, not always as easy as it sounds, then you need to be able to locate your position at that particular moment in time, not always as simple as one might think especially if one happens to be in a featureless part of the landscape. Then the diversion has to be planned and a new route worked out.
Compare this to using GPS Navigation.
At the start of the journey key in the destination, the type of roads you prefer to use, select the quickest or shortest route and the clever little GPS works it all out for you. If you come across diversions, blocked routes etc, the GPS will re calculate your route for you on the fly. Of course the GPS also has its drawbacks, it is only as good as the information that has been uploaded to it so on occasions you could well find yourself directed to turn up a dirt track that is not even suitable for mountain goats never mind vehicles. All in all though the GPS these days are extremely reliable and a quick and easy way to find your way to your desired destination. They are also much safer than trying to read a map as you drive along, they give both visual and audible indications of distance to and direction of turn. No need to keep looking down to see where you are. A vast improvement over the old map reading system and carrying multiple A-Z maps around. One small device now covers the entire country with add on maps available for other countries too. No longer a novelty or a new gadget, they are fast becoming a standard and essential part of motoring equipment for the driver who makes trips to hitherto unknown destinations. Expensive when they first came out, as are most new electronic items they have now come down to an affordable price. There are a wide range of GPS available, something to suit everyone. If you would like to see some of those we have available then please visit us at

iPod the Bigger Picture and Sound
Have you ever wanted to view something on your iPod much larger than it is? Or to listen to some of the music on your iPod at a higher volume. Now you can do both.thanks to Philips, with the Philips Universal Remote Control for iPod together with an iPod Dock. The remote control has a back lit screen for easy viewing of the menu, libraries and playlists on your iPod from just about anywhere within your home. It works through walls, ceilings etc. and controls up to 6 devices, your iPod plus TV, DVD Player, VCR, cable and satellite systems. As with most devices these days it comes with a Wizard set-up guide to guide you through the set up process. If like me you have several different devices which are remote controlled you will find one of these invaluable, no more picking up the wrong remote to start a recording and then missing the start of what you wanted to record. No control is all here in one place at your fingertips. The iPod Dock, as with most docking systems allows you to charge your iPod whilst you use it, leave it in the Docking Cradle and connect it to your Stereo System or powered speakers via a 3.5mm Audio out cable to hear your music out loud. There is also an S Video out connection which allows you to connect to a TV so that you can share your Video Library on a larger screen and don't forget whilst doing all this it is charging your iPod for when you go mobile with it. All in all a handy affordable solution to the Bigger Picture and Sound problem. I hope you find this interesting and perhaps it will resolve a problem for you. If you would like to know more about the Philips Universal Remote Control for iPod with iPod Dock then please just click the link and pay us a visit. Thank you for your time.

Mobile Entertainment Systems.
Hi, love them or hate them they are with us to stay. Here are a couple of pictures to illustrate the things I am talking about. On the right we have a picture of a Portable DVD Player for use within the car and if like me you have ever embarked upon a long road trip with the family you will know what a blessing they can be. When you hear those immortal words "Are we nearly there yet ?" within a few minutes of setting off you know you are in for a long ordeal. Children are easily and quickly bored. What a BLESSING to be able to provide something to distract them and keep them quiet whilst you concentrate on where you are going and how to get there without having to be a referee for the arguments going on in the back seat. In addition because it is removable media you can be selective as to the material you provide for them to watch. No nasty surprises as to content.
On the left we have a Portable Video Player for in car use. Once again it has all the same benefits as the Portable DVD Player with the added benefit that you can use your previous collection of Videos.
There are in addition to these, Portable TVs, MP3 players, iPod etc.
These kinds of Portable Media come in a variety of styles and mountings. If you are interested in this kind of Portable Media then you may find a visit to http://www.bestmobileentertainment.com of benefit. If you don't love them already I am sure you will once you have one in te car with the children for that long journey.
